AC Tion
OVI Group installed the LED lighting at athletics club AC Tion in Enschede.
AC TION originally emerged from SV De Enschedese Boys and was officially founded on February 1, 1948. The name ACTION was chosen at the time because there were objections from the region to the name ‘Twente’.
The club
AC TION is an association that offers a wide range of athletics, running, walking, and supportive training. The association’s membership has fluctuated around 600 in recent years. More than half of the members are recreational athletes (road athletes, Nordic walking), and over 40% participate in track and field.
About one-third of the track athletes are youth (ages 6 to 10) who learn the elements of track athletics through play. The club participates in many competitions (for both young and old), and the teams achieve good results. The club also boasts several Dutch champions.
